Large intact Corinthian aryballos with flat bottom, with single loop-handle.
Decorated with Lotus palmette flanked by Sirens.

Condition: Intact, part of paint lost.
Period: Late Corinthian, c. 560 B.C.
Provenance: acquired before 1943, by the Lochard family, the head of which served the French state as governor of Indo-China.
Showed on exhibition ‘Klassieke Kunst in Particulier Bezit’ (Leiden, 1975).
